Nilachal Saraswat Sangh, Puri (NSS) was founded by SadGuru Swami Nigamanand Paramhans Dev exclusively for his Oriya-speaking household devotees on 24th August 1934.
With the mission: to propagate Sanatan Dharma, to disseminate True Education (education leading to spiritual advancement) and to Serve the living beings deeming it as service rendered to The Supreme Being, NSS has been operating since then in different parts of the world.

The 57th Utkal Pradesik Bhakta Sammilani was successfully organized by the grace of our beloved Thakur Sadguru Swami Nigamanand Paramhans Dev with loads of devotional fervor at Nimapada. During these four days starting from Adhivas till Viday Sabha, everyone has witnessed and actively participated in the Nitya Leela (subtle exploits) with their beloved spiritual master.

NSS members have renewed their membership for another year on the auspicious occasion of Dola Purnima. Apart from the regular members, many new members were also given the membership Parichaya Patra (Identity Card).

On April 14th, 2008, Ram Navami Puja was celebrated in Shanti Ashram at Rishikesh. Devotees from different NSS branches were present in the customary worship and spiritual discourse. Among the invitee's some local Saints were also participated in the spiritual discourse.
